NAPLES, Fla. (Sept. 28, 2015) – London Bay Homes has started construction on two additional Capriano model homes in the maintenance-free neighborhoods of Lucarno and Cortile at Mediterra, following up on the successful sale of a previous model sold before construction was completed earlier this year.

The Capriano, an award-winning single-family luxury villa design, has four bedrooms, a library, dedicated wine room, and a second floor featuring a loft, guest suite with full bath and morning kitchen/wet bar.

“The floor plan really captures the way people envision living in Southwest Florida and Mediterra,” said Mark Wilson, president and CEO of London Bay, Naples’ leading luxury homebuilding company. “It has a large great room that easily connects to the outdoor living areas, plus adjoining rooms for entertaining and private spaces for guests and owners.”

London Bay’s most recent Capriano model, featuring coastal-inspired interior design by Romanza Interior Design, sold on leaseback prior to its completion. It is open for viewing through June 2016.

The latest models will offer 4,402 square feet of living space and large alfresco spaces featuring multiple gathering areas, a summer kitchen, pool and spa, and a large second-floor balcony and sundeck.

The kitchen will offer a freestanding breakfast bar island, a walk-in pantry and built-in desk for a home office.

The master suite’s expanded bedroom will offer a combined walk-in closet and French doors opening to the pool courtyard. Its bathroom will offer his-and-her vanities, a tub set in a bay window, a separate shower and a private water closet.

The Capriano will have 4,921 total square feet, including covered entry, outdoor living, two-car garage and additional detached one-car garage.

Base price for the Capriano is $1.175 million, not including the homesite.

London Bay Homes is the exclusive builder in Lucarno, a neighborhood reminiscent of a European village with its cobblestone streets, fountains and 71 lakefront villas. The maintenance-free neighborhood is more than 60 percent sold out and is located in Mediterra’s Garden Neighborhood adjacent to the community’s largest park with formal gardens, fountained lake views, sitting areas, and a large reflecting pond with decorative stone frog waterspouts.

The Cortile neighborhood at Mediterra offers a total of 46 villas and single-family estate homes overlooking lakes, nature preserves and four holes of Mediterra’s Tom Fazio-designed North and South courses. London Bay’s popular maintenance-free neighborhood includes seven available single-family homesites.

London Bay Homes was one of only two companies named America’s Best Builder in 2008 by Builder Magazine. London Bay and affiliates manage all new home sales and marketing for Mediterra, Naples’ premier golf and beach club community and eight-time Community of the Year award winner.

All of the company’s homes are built using the latest information, products and technology available in building science, including the BEP Blue Barrier system that protects against mold issues and structural damage from moisture intrusion.

Additional home designs in Mediterra – a 2013 Aurora Award winner for Best Residential Development in the Southeast U.S. – include single-family estate homes and single-family maintenance-free villas priced from $1 million to more than $7 million. The community is more than 95 percent sold out.

The community offers an array of lifestyle amenities, including The Club at Mediterra, ranked as one of the top private clubs in the world by BoardRoom magazine. The club features two world-class Tom Fazio-designed courses and the private 10,000-square-foot Beach Club on the Gulf of Mexico, featuring an elevated swimming pool, casual dining with a full bar, and valet service for beach chairs, umbrellas, and beverage and food menus.

Mediterra’s onsite amenities include themed neighborhood parks; eight miles of walking and jogging trails; and a fitness complex with tennis and bocce courts, a pool and spa services.

The recent renovation at the 32,000-square-foot clubhouse updated the interior design of the main dining room, expanded the Club Lounge and kitchen, and introduced alfresco dining options, an exposition kitchen and chef’s table.

The club and Tavern on 18 offer formal and casual dining prepared by a staff of award-winning culinary experts. Additional renovations at the tavern added a fire pit to the popular lounge, which serves gourmet brick-oven pizzas, seasonal salads and open-air grilled entrées.

The Club at Mediterra also is halfway through a two-year, $6.1 million project to replace the irrigation system, bunkers, cart paths and turf on the South Course.

Mediterra’s Golf Learning Center offers indoor and outdoor hitting stations, video equipment with launch monitor, a 2.5-acre short game practice complex with three greens, and a staff of certified PGA professionals. Membership opportunities at Mediterra are limited to just 225 members per 18 holes.

All of the community’s amenities are membership-owned.
