It’s the most wonderful time of the year and if you’re like us, you are soaking up every last holiday event there is to take full advantage of the season.  There are not many days left, but here are the fun-filled events in which to partake before the calendar flips to the New Year, and a few more to get you started in January 2016.

December 23

11:30am-1pm and 2:30pm-4pm: Join guests at the Lobby Lounge for the Ritz Carlton’s annual Teddy Bear Tea.  The lounge will be full of fluffy, oversized teddy bears, aromatic teas, hot chocolate, and sweet treats, and a storyteller will be ready to read children’s books before Saint Nick drops by for a visit.

10am-12pm: Miromar Outlets has put together a kids crafts event with fun activities for kids from toddlers to 12.  This event is held every weekend, but fun holiday crafts will be created during the holiday season.

December 24

8-9am: The Club at Mediterra is hosting its annual Jingle Jog where members can get together for a fun run around the Corso and finish off their early morning fitness routine with eggnog smoothies.  Yum!

10-11:30am: The Santa Dolphin and Wildlife Cruise is scheduled to head out to an island in the waters surrounding Sanibel to catch Santa before he heads out to deliver all of the presents to the children of the world.  Children will take a picture with Santa and receive a gift before getting back out on the water to head home.

3pm: Last minute shoppers can take advantage of Christmas Eve at the Village where guests will receive complimentary photos with Santa, enjoy listening to stories from Mrs. Claus, gaze at a snow show, and listen to the strolling holiday carolers while picking up those last few things on your list.

4:45-6:45pm: Christmas in Florida wouldn’t be complete without a beautiful sunset cruise.  The staff of the Christmas Eve Sunset Cruise aboard the “Sun Princess” will be ready with cookies, eggnog, and lovely tropical music for a relaxing evening on the water.

December 31

5: 30-9pm: The Mediterra Beach Club, Mediterra’s private beach club for residents, is hosting New Year’s Eve on the Beach where there will be delicious food and cocktails served by our courteous and professional staff, as well as some live music to ring in the New Year.

6:30-8:30pm: Third Street South is bringing in the New Year with live music and activities all the way down to the Naples Pier.

7:30pm: Bring blankets and chairs to sit on Naples, FL’s sandy white beaches for the Fireworks show at the Naples Pier.

8pm-12am: The Club at Mediterra is also hosting its own New Year’s Eve event at the newly expanded Mediterra Clubhouse.  The New Year’s Eve Gala – Redefined will be an elegant evening of fine dining and fun with our residents and friends.

9:30pm-12:30am: Watch fireworks over the water and enjoy an open bar, delicious hors d'oeuvres and plated dinner, dancing to live entertainment, party favors, and a final champagne toast at midnight to bring in the New Year with flair.  The Naples Princess New Year’s Eve gala celebration starts at 9:30pm, but make sure you make a reservation for this grand event.

January 1

11:30am-3pm: It’s not exactly the hair of the dog, but Mediterra residents can spend their first day of the New Year relaxing by a private beach during our New Year’s Day Bloody Mary Brunch at the Mediterra Beach Club.  Some R&R by the beach never hurt anyone neither does the delicious brunch menu we have planned.

It’s a busy time of year, so make sure you make the time to spend it with the ones you love.  Happy Holidays!
