The Mediterra Naples Sales and Marketing team were kept on their feet at the Collier Building Industry Association’s (CBIA) 2017 Sand Dollar Awards, where the luxury home community was awarded Community of the Year for the 11th time and three luxury model homes were recognized for their superior home design.
The most exciting award of the evening was the coveted Community of the Year, which recognizes the quality of design of the community’s overall amenity package and evaluates the recreation provided. This category includes everything from clubhouse, golf, tennis, and swimming facilities to outdoor use amenities such as paths, gazebos, and sculptures that add to the quality of the community. Mediterra Naples has now had the honor of being named the best community in Naples 11 times, allowing us the opportunity to recognize what is propelling our community forward and continue enhancing our efforts for our current and future residents.
Mediterra offers an array of lifestyle amenities that allows our residents to explore new hobbies and entertainment every day. Our member-owned Club at Mediterra features a 32,000-square-foot clubhouse offering formal and casual dining prepared by a staff of award-winning culinary experts and a regular schedule of unique activities. Residents can gather to socialize and dine among staff members that will not only remember your name, but will also remember your favorite wine. Mediterra also facilitates a healthy, active, and engaged lifestyle with two Tom Fazio-designed championship courses; themed neighborhood parks; eight miles of walking and jogging trails; a fitness complex with tennis and bocce courts; a swimming pool; and spa service. Resident also love the private 10,000-square-foot Beach Club on the Gulf of Mexico where our Mediterra staff will cater to your every need, from beach towels and chairs to delicious food and cocktails.
Aside from the Community of the Year award, our luxury golf and beach club community also received recognition for our Mediterra homes for sale in Naples. Three of our luxury model homes were awarded Sand Dollars for their home designs: The Catalina, The Capriano, and The Bettina.
The Catalina was the first of the Mediterra homes to be recognized during the fun-filled ceremony and was awarded Interior Design of the Year for Single Family Detached Homes in the $4,000,001 - $4,500,000 range. This estate model home represents one of the few remaining opportunities in the maintenance-free villa and estate home neighborhood of Cortile in the heart of Mediterra, and stuns with an inviting open floor plan that brings together the great room, kitchen, and café for a beautiful entertainment area and an exquisite outdoor living space with a resort-inspired linear pool with a sun shelf, a raised spa with spillover, and a fountain in a master private garden area near a raised fire pit. Jennifer Stevens of Romanza Interior Design elevated the home’s design with a contemporary aesthetic blending rustic and eastern influences punctuated by Asian-inspired accessories.
The Capriano in Lucarno unites the lush beauty of the Lucarno neighborhood’s parks and trails with a luxury lakeside villa that compels you to put your feet up and relax the day away. This two-story home features four bedrooms and four bathrooms in its 4,402 square feet under air, but it’s the master suite that caught the judges’ attention. Located at the rear of the home, the master suite offers an oasis of relaxation with a soft contemporary look by Jennifer Stevens of Romanza Interior Design, highlighted by a light washed-wood dresser and shagreen accented nightstands on each side of the upholstered headboard encrusted with black nickel nail-head trim. These design details complement the sparkling lake and gardens visible through large windows that act as a frame for your picturesque view. These attributes are what earned The Capriano the Sand Dollar award for Best Master Suite Under $50,000.
The Bettina is a maintenance free villa home located in the Cabreo neighborhood of Mediterra Naples, where every resident is just a short walk from the community’s formal Parterre Gardens with lush flora, multiple water features, relaxation benches, and walking paths. The four bedroom, four bathroom villa home shows off its 3,100 square feet under air with a relaxed contemporary design from Romanza’s Luann Powers Gliwski, which earned it the Sand Dollar award for Interior Design of the Year for Single Family Detached Homes in the $1,750,001 - $2,000,000 range. Gliwski chose shades of blue and taupe; white and beige backgrounds; and gunmetal, nickel, and light wood finishes to showcase the simple and elegant architecture of the home, aiming for a harmonious combination of colors, textures, and materials to create visual excitement while emphasizing the openness of the floor plan.
