NAPLES, Fla. (Nov. 4, 2014) – London Bay Homes is building its fifth Girona model at Mediterra, Naples’ premier golf and beach club community. The three-bedroom luxury villa has proven a popular home design, with the previous four models selling before or quickly after completion.
The newest Girona is now under construction in Cortile, a neighborhood of 46 maintenance-free villa and estate homes. The model is expected to be open for viewing in February 2015 and will feature interior design by Michael Scott of Romanza Interior Design.
Featuring an open great room floor plan, a formal dining room, study and breakfast nook, the Girona offers 3,526 square feet of living space. The model will be shown with an expanded outdoor living area with a custom-designed pool and spa overlooking nature preserves. The home will also have three full baths, a powder room and entry courtyard with a low wall.
The Girona features 12-foot ceilings in the great room, a large space for seating, and dining areas adjoining the kitchen. Sliding glass doors blur indoor and outdoor boundaries and showcase the views.
The kitchen will have a freestanding island breakfast bar and walk-in pantry and will feature custom cabinetry, countertops and backsplash details.
The sun-filled master suite bedroom offers a door to the pool area and is accented by a coffered ceiling. The suite also has his-and-her walk-in closets. Its bathroom offers a glass-enclosed shower, tub positioned under a window, water closet, and separate vanities, one with a dressing table.
Each of the two guest suites has a private full bathroom; one offers a walk-in closet.
The Girona model will offer 4,843 total square feet, including its covered entry, lanai and two-car garage.
The Girona floor plan has been designed with optional features that allow buyers to customize their home by adding a butler’s pantry, a fourth full bath or third car bay, and expanding outdoor living and kitchen areas.
The Girona is one of a dozen luxury villa and estate floor plans offered by London Bay Homes in the Cortile neighborhood. The maintenance-free homes include landscaping and lawn care through the homeowners association.
Home and homesite packages in Cortile are priced from $1.3 million. Villa and estate floor plans range from 2,800 to more than 6,000 square feet of living space.
All London Bay Homes are built using the latest information, products and technology available in building science, including the BEP Blue Barrier moisture barrier system that protects against mold issues and structural damage from moisture intrusion.
Collier County’s eight-time Community of the Year Award winner and recently named the No. 1 retirement community in Florida by Best Retirement Destinations, Mediterra also received a 2013 Aurora Award for Best Residential Development in the Southeastern United States and ranks as one of the top private clubs in the world by BoardRoom magazine.
The 1,700-acre community offers an array of lifestyle amenities, including the member-owned Club at Mediterra with two world-class Fazio-designed courses and the private 10,000-square-foot Beach Club on the Gulf of Mexico, featuring an elevated swimming pool, casual dining with a full bar, and valet service for beach chairs, umbrellas, and beverage and food menus.
Mediterra’s onsite amenities include themed neighborhood parks; eight miles of walking and jogging trails; a fitness complex with tennis and bocce courts, a pool and spa services.
A recent renovation project at the 32,000-square-foot clubhouse updated the interior design of the main dining room, expanded the Club Lounge and kitchen, and introduced al fresco dining options, an exposition kitchen and chef’s table.
The club and Tavern on 18 offer formal and casual dining prepared by a staff of award-winning culinary experts. Additional renovations to the tavern added a fire pit to the popular lounge, which serves gourmet brick-oven pizzas, seasonal salads and open-air grilled entrées.
On the links, Mediterra is in the first year of a two-year $6.1 million project to replace the irrigation system, bunkers, cart paths and turf on its South Course.
Mediterra’s Golf Learning Center offers indoor and outdoor hitting stations, video equipment with launch monitor, a 2.5-acre short game practice complex with three greens, and a staff of certified PGA professionals. Membership opportunities at Mediterra are limited to just 225 members per 18 holes.
All of the community’s amenities are membership-owned.
Mediterra’s master plan includes more than 1,000 acres dedicated to open space with golf, parks and nature preserves.
Since December 2009, London Bay Homes and affiliates have managed all new home sales and marketing for the luxury community. Resale properties are listed through Mediterra Realty.
Available home designs in Mediterra include single-family estate homes and single-family maintenance-free villas priced from the $800,000s to more than $7 million.
