NAPLES, Fla. (May 24, 2016) – London Bay Homes has announced construction of its new two-story Catalina model home in Cortile, a neighborhood of maintenance-free villa and estate homes within Mediterra, awarded Naples’ nine-time community of the year.

The four-bedroom, five-bath Catalina offers 5,288 square feet under air, two two-car garages, a formal dining room, and a large bonus room with zero-corner sliding glass doors opening to the outdoor living area featuring a private master garden. The second floor offers a loft, wet bar, guest bedroom, and full bath. A covered “sunset overlook” provides a relaxing outdoor space complete with a fireplace and sweeping views across the adjacent nature preserve and golf course fairway.

The Catalina’s emphasis on water is introduced at the brick detailed arched entry tower – framed by landscaping and two fountains on each side of the walkway leading to the 10-foot double glass-and-wood framed doors. Its open floor plan showcases additional water views from the foyer, including a resort-inspired linear pool with a sun shelf, raised spa with spillover and fountain in a garden area near a raised fire pit.

The Catalina’s openness and connection with outside spaces are enhanced by sliding glass doors in the kitchen cafe, bonus room, master bedroom and loft. The large great room flows into the adjoining cafe and kitchen, the latter offering a freestanding island with sink and dishwasher, in addition to a six-burner stove top, steam oven and separate refrigerator and freezer.

The model home also features more than 950 square feet of covered outdoor living space: dining and sitting areas, and a summer kitchen with an island bar.

The gallery separates the foyer and dining room from the great room by a series of arches that leads to the master suite in one wing, and in the other wing, two ground-floor guest bedroom suites. Both guest suites have a private full bath and a walk-in closet.

The master suite’s bedroom opens to an intimate alfresco and landscaped terraced retreat under a cedar trellis. A private garden and outdoor shower can be accessed from the master bathroom, enclosed by screen walls and an aluminum trellis.

The suite will include dual closets and a large bathroom with dual vanities, a freestanding tub and double-entry walk-in shower.

The second floor is being designed as a retreat for guests and a special place to watch sunsets. The loft will feature built-in cabinetry and sliding glass doors to the balcony, appropriately named the “sunset overlook.”

The model will be fully furnished by award-winning Romanza Interior Design and is expected to be completed this November.

The model demonstrates London Bay Homes’ commitment to Private Label Living, a guiding philosophy of quality, luxury, attention to detail and personal expression.

A leader in the luxury home market for 25 years, London Bay Homes was named America’s Best Builder by Builder magazine. The company uses the latest information, products and technology available in building science, including the BEP Blue Barrier system that protects against mold issues and structural damage from moisture intrusion.

The company and its affiliates manage all new home sales and marketing for Mediterra, internationally lauded as a Distinguished Emerald Club and ranked currently among the top 10 communities worldwide by BestRetirementDestinations.com.

The 1,700-acre community offers an array of lifestyle amenities, including The Club at Mediterra, ranked as one of the top private clubs in the world by BoardRoom magazine. The club features two world-class Fazio-designed golf courses and a private 10,000-square-foot Beach Club on the Gulf of Mexico, featuring an elevated swimming pool, casual dining with a full bar, and valet service for beach chairs, umbrellas, and beverage and food menus.

Mediterra’s on-site amenities include themed neighborhood parks; eight miles of walking and jogging trails; and a fitness complex with tennis and bocce courts, a pool and spa services.

Additional home designs in Mediterra – a 2013 Aurora Award winner for Best Residential Development in the Southeast U.S. – include single-family estate homes and single-family, maintenance-free villas priced from $1 million to more than $7 million. Six model homes are currently open for viewing.
