NAPLES, Fla. (June 21, 2016) – London Bay Homes’ newest luxury villa model at Mediterra features modern-classic interior design created by Michael Scott of award-winning Romanza Interior Design.

The three-bedroom Clara offers formal living and dining rooms, a study, great room and pantry. It also has a three-car garage and a large outdoor living area with a kitchen, pool and spa.

Scott’s design mixes classic rich mahogany wood with cerused oak, ivory lacquer and black leather. The Clara model features silver, brass, brushed nickel, parchment and eggshell finishes. Furnishings include traditional and mid-century modern pieces and artwork that conveys contemporary and coastal themes.

Interior finishes include white flora glazed porcelain tile in main gathering areas, a wood floor in the study, painted, as well as glazed cabinetry, and quartz countertops.

Scott also introduces coastal colors in various shades of jade with accents of cream blush, gray, beige and espresso throughout the model’s 3,248 square feet of living space.

The Clara’s open floor plan configures kitchen, great, dining and living rooms in an L shape, a design Scott said “is very conducive for great circulation every time you entertain. The entire space opens to a well-appointed outdoor living space with a grilling area and plenty of seating.”

Double French doors with arched transoms open to the foyer, which displays views of the pool and the homesite’s lake views through the living room’s glass doors. Espresso wood finishes, used in several rooms, are introduced in the living room and contrast with the hand-painted faux parchment of a cocktail table and cerused oak and eggshell white lamp tables. Color is interjected in the striped pattern of accent pillows in subdued shades of jade, navy, gray and chocolate. Metals are paired with whites in the room’s brass and ivory lacquer nesting tables; chinois silver and brass and alabaster lamps; and an antique bronze metal accent chair.

The dining room ceiling features textural wall covering inserts and a wrought iron and glass chandelier. A natural wood oval table is circled by ivory lacquered chairs with a modern curve profile and nail-head trim.

Two sofas in the family room provide plenty of seating and are complemented with a lounge chair and blocky vintage bronze cocktail table. Accent tables introduce medium-brown wood tones and “chequered” crown rosewood veneer in classic and mid-century designs. Shades of white are represented in a hand-painted faux parchment console, eggshell white cushioned stools and a bone-finished media console. Lamps add glimmer with silver and a combination of antique brass, cream and brown finishes. Blue-gray draperies pick up the background of patterned pillows.

The blue-gray is also repeated in the chinoiserie-inspired pattern of the powder room’s wall covering. This half-bath features a gray painted vanity, stonewashed quartz countertop and a modern brushed nickel wall sconce.

The kitchen’s maple cabinetry is complemented by pearl-quartz countertops and mosaic glass sparkling sand backsplash.

The master bedroom overlooks the outdoor living area and pool. Located in the same private wing as the master suite, the den reveals a more modern side with mahogany figured eucalyptus finishes, black leather and contemporary-styled shapes. The tawny natural stain of the flooring enhances the wood grain and provides a light contrast to a mahogany figured eucalyptus desk with black leather inlay matching an ebonized leather chair with nail-head trim. Mahogany is repeated in the frame of a black leather armchair and matching curved ottoman. Metal artwork, silver leaf and black marble lamps enhance the den’s dramatic, modern style.

The Clara’s two guest rooms have walk-in closets and private full baths with beige-gray vanities and moonstone quartz countertops.

One of the bedrooms features a king-sized upholstered bed, mahogany and chestnut burl nightstands, and an eggshell framed chair.

The second guest room features a queen headboard upholstered in an updated houndstooth of blues, beige and white. Matching four-shelf nightstands have a cerused oak and ivory lacquer finish and gray and brushed nickel lamps. The lighter tones will also appear in the eggshell finish of two curved stools and the weathered sandstone fluted chest.

The Clara is open for viewing and priced at $1,811,107 fully furnished.
