London Bay Homes nearing completion on two Girona luxury villa models at Mediterra

NAPLES, Fla. (March 3, 2015) – London Bay Homes is nearing completion of two single-family Girona model homes in Mediterra. The fully furnished luxury villas – the fifth and sixth version of the builder’s most popular home design in the Naples community – will open for viewing in April.

The homes are located in the Cortile neighborhood at Mediterra, Naples’ premier golf and beach club community, and will feature interior design by Michael Scott of Romanza Interior Design.

London Bay’s four previous Girona models have sold before or shortly after completion since the original was introduced in 2012.

The three-bedroom, three- and one-half-bath Girona offers an open great room plan, formal dining room, breakfast nook and study within 3,526 square feet of living space. Sliding glass doors open to covered living and dining areas and expansive sundecks. The master suite is designed with his-and-her walk-in closets, and bathrooms have dual vanities, a shower and a separate tub positioned in a window.

Both models offer custom swimming pools and spas, outdoor kitchens, three-car garages and an entry courtyard with fountain. Kitchens have top-of-the-line appliances and wine refrigerators.

The newest homes feature different exterior elevations and interior design themes.

One will have a modern design aesthetic with a gray and ivory palette accented with papaya; box-beamed and tongue-and-groove ceilings; and white- and wood-toned furniture finishes mixed with glass, metallic, caned and woven surfaces. It features shellstone flooring, an ivory and gray kitchen, and a specialty wall treatment in the dining room’s niche.

The pool has a jet-black pebbled finish, black glass mosaic tiles, an infinity edge and perimeter LED lighting.

The second model features traditional design and showcases a special furniture collection by William Yeoward, London’s premier retail designer. Finishes include beamed and tongue-and-groove ceilings, mosaic tile backsplashes, and marble and quartz countertops in kitchen and baths.

The pool area of this model combines elements of water and fire and offers additional seating under an arbor beyond the pool.

Mediterra is Naples’ eight-time Community of the Year. It received a 2013 Aurora Award for Best Residential Development in the Southeastern United States and ranks as one of the top private clubs in the world by BoardRoom magazine.

The 1,700-acre community offers an array of lifestyle amenities, including the member-owned Club at Mediterra with two world-class Tom Fazio-designed courses and the private 10,000-square-foot Beach Club on the Gulf of Mexico, featuring an elevated swimming pool, casual dining with a full bar, and valet service for beach chairs, umbrellas, and beverage and food menus.

Mediterra’s onsite amenities include themed neighborhood parks; eight miles of walking and jogging trails; a fitness complex with tennis and bocce courts, a pool and spa services.

A recent renovation at the 32,000-square-foot clubhouse updated the interior design of the main dining room, expanded the Club Lounge and kitchen, and introduced al fresco dining options, an exposition kitchen and chef’s table.

The club and Tavern on 18 offer formal and casual dining prepared by a staff of award-winning culinary experts. Additional renovations to the tavern added a fire pit to the popular lounge, which serves gourmet brick-oven pizzas, seasonal salads and open-air grilled entrées.

On the links, Mediterra is in the first year of a two-year $16 million project to replace the irrigation system, bunkers, cart paths and turf on its South Course.

Mediterra’s Golf Learning Center offers indoor and outdoor hitting stations, video equipment with launch monitor, a 2.5-acre short game practice complex with three greens, and a staff of certified PGA professionals. Membership opportunities at Mediterra are limited to just 225 members per 18 holes.

All of the community’s amenities are member-owned.

Mediterra’s master plan includes more than 1,000 acres dedicated to open space with golf, parks and nature preserves.

Since December 2009, London Bay Homes and affiliates have managed all new home sales and marketing for the luxury community. Resale properties are listed through Mediterra Realty.

Available home designs in Mediterra include single-family estate homes and single-family maintenance-free villas priced from $1 million to more than $7 million.
