NAPLES, Fla. (May 26, 2015) – London Bay Homes’ newest luxury villa model is now open for viewing in Cortile at Mediterra, Naples’ premier golf and beach club community.

Featuring interior design by Michael Scott of Romanza Interior Design, the new Girona model features three-bedrooms, three-and-one-half-baths and offers 3,526 square feet of living area.

The Girona is one of London Bay’s most popular home designs in Mediterra, with four previous models selling before or shortly after completion since the original was introduced in 2012.

The newest model represents the fifth version of the floor plan, and was sold on leaseback one month prior to completion. The home will be available for viewing through Dec. 15. A sixth Girona model was also recently completed and sold prior to completion.

The Girona features a popular open great room plan connecting with outdoor living areas and offers a formal dining room, breakfast nook and study. The master suite is designed with his-and-her walk-in closets and a bathroom offering dual vanities, a shower and a separate tub positioned in a window.

The model features a modern design aesthetic with gray and ivory colors accented with papaya; box-beamed and tongue-and-groove ceilings; and white- and wood-toned furniture finishes mixed with glass, metallic, caned and woven surfaces. It features shellstone flooring and a specialty wall treatment in the dining room’s niche.

The kitchen blends ivory and gray, with its cream-colored cabinetry and quartz moonstone and taupe countertops. It also features snowdrift ceramic backsplashes and a freestanding breakfast bar island.

The master bedroom, painted a darker shade of gray, has an upholstered headboard and wood bed, a caned and woven bench, and fabrics with black undertones paired with papaya, gray and golden beige.

The master bath features a shellstone floor inset with gray natural stone basketweave mosaics, cream-finished vanities and quartz countertops. The bathroom also features a thermo-controlled shower with a fixed showerhead and hand-held sprayer; the separate tub is positioned in a window and has a wood paneled skirt.

The Girona’s two guest rooms have private full baths. One of the bedrooms offers a queen bed with denim-finished nightstands, and its bathroom has a white mist quartz vanity countertop and vertical mosaic tile accents in its shower wall.

The second bedroom features twin beds with upholstered headboards.

Designed for outdoor living, the Girona also offers open-air, under-roof seating and dining areas. The summer kitchen has a grill, refrigerator and sink. The model includes an infinity-edge pool with a jet-black pebbled finish, black glass mosaic tiles and perimeter LED lighting.

London Bay’s Cortile neighborhood of maintenance-free single-family estate and villa homes offers only seven remaining estate homesites.

A leader in the Southwest Florida luxury home market for 25 years, London Bay Homes was named America’s Best Builder by Builder Magazine in 2008.

All London Bay Homes are built using the latest information, products and technology available in building science, including the BEP Blue Barrier system that protects against mold issues and structural damage from moisture intrusion.

Mediterra is Naples’ eight-time Community of the Year and was recently named the No. 1 retirement community in Florida by Best Retirement Destinations. It received a 2013 Aurora Award for Best Residential Development in the Southeastern U.S. and ranks as one of the top private clubs in the world by BoardRoom magazine.

The 1,700-acre community offers an array of lifestyle amenities, including the member-owned Club at Mediterra with two world-class Tom Fazio-designed courses and the private 10,000-square-foot Beach Club on the Gulf of Mexico, featuring an elevated swimming pool, casual dining with a full bar, and valet service for beach chairs, umbrellas, and beverage and food menus.

Mediterra’s onsite amenities include themed neighborhood parks; eight miles of walking and jogging trails; and a fitness complex with tennis and bocce courts, a pool and spa services.

A recent renovation at the 32,000-square-foot clubhouse updated the interior design of the main dining room, expanded the club lounge and kitchen, and introduced alfresco dining options, an exposition kitchen and chef’s table.

The Club and Tavern on 18 offer formal and casual dining prepared by a staff of award-winning culinary experts. Additional renovations to the tavern added a fire pit to the popular lounge, which serves gourmet brick-oven pizzas, seasonal salads and open-air grilled entrées.

On the links, Mediterra is undergoing more than $14 million in renovations of its North and South courses. Mediterra’s Golf Learning Center offers indoor and outdoor hitting stations, video equipment with launch monitor, a 2.5-acre short game practice complex with three greens, and a staff of certified PGA professionals. Membership opportunities at Mediterra are limited to just 225 members per 18 holes.

All of the community’s amenities are member-owned.

Mediterra’s master plan includes more than 1,000 acres dedicated to open space with golf, parks and nature preserves.

Since December 2009, London Bay Homes and affiliates have managed all new home sales and marketing for the luxury community. Resale properties are listed through Mediterra Realty.
