Mediterra, North Naples’ premier gated golf course community offering new luxury estates, has announced Joachim Buchner the newest director of culinary arts at The Club at Mediterra.
With 35 years of professional cooking and kitchen management experience, certified master chef Joachim Buchner recently relocated from Mountain Lake in Lake Wales, Florida, where he was the executive chef for The Buffalo Club and Chevy Chase Club. A culinary craftsman, specializing in high end and casual dining cuisine, Buchner received his dual master chef certifications from the American Culinary Federation and Germany’s Industrie-und Handelskammer.
Throughout his career, Buchner has been featured on The Food Network as well as CMAA Chef for education demonstrations. A 14-time gold medalist in international cooking competitions, he is also a world champion in hot and cold food competitions. Buchner has been featured in a number of cooking publications and performed as a guest chef for companies across the globe.
Mediterra has an enviable reputation and a strong network of leaders and influencers in the country club industry. The Club at Mediterra recently completed a two-phase, $16 million renovation now boasting nearly 60,000 square feet of space after a 20,165-square-foot addition. The Club’s expanded Cypress Bar and Tavern, along with a new outdoor covered bar terrace, showcases views of one of Mediterra’s two Tom Fazio-designed golf courses. Along with an expanded ballroom for grand galas of up to 250 guests, the updated Clubhouse also offers a new garden room and a renovated sunroom designed for more intimate gatherings and celebrations.
