Six luxurious model residences are open for viewing and purchase today and for the next two weekends during London Bay Homes’ Winter 2019 Model Home Showcase that continues at Mediterra, a 1,697-acre gated community located two-miles north of Immokalee Road on Livingston Road in North Naples.

The models will be open on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sundays from noon to 5:00 p.m. Luxury vehicles from Naples Motorsports will be on display. Naples Motorsports offers a variety of luxury supercars, including Karma, Lotus, McLaren and Maserati. They currently have the largest inventory of Ferrari’s in Naples. Homesites showcasing water and preserve views are also available. Purchasers of homes by London Bay are eligible to secure a full golf membership immediately rather than being placed on the membership waiting list as a Limited Golf Member. London Bay manages all new home construction sales and marketing for Mediterra.

Each of London Bay’s models features Coastal-influenced architectural styles and open-concept interiors designed by Romanza Interior Design. Custom pools and outdoor living areas by London Bay overlook Mediterra’s spectacular tableau. The models are situated in new neighborhoods introduced by London Bay that present luxurious single-family villa and estate homes.

Named recipient of The Collier Building Industry Association’s Sand Dollar Award for Community of the Year Over $1 Million on eleven occasions, Mediterra’s acclaimed array of amenities offers the possibility of living a healthy, active lifestyle with numerous opportunities to connect with the community’s youthful and highly social residents, or to reconnect with oneself through quiet moments of reflection. Mediterra’s grand 25,000 square-foot Mediterranean-style clubhouse is a favored gathering place for dining and socializing. Never stuffy or ostentatious, the clubhouse offers an engaging atmosphere where informal attire, including jeans, is always welcomed. Phase I of a two-phase 24,000 square-foot clubhouse expansion has been completed. In addition, 7,000 square feet of existing clubhouse space will be enhanced as part of the initiative that is being undertaken without a member assessment. Visitors to the Model Home Showcase can learn more about the clubhouse expansion initiative by stopping by the Mediterra Sales Center and speaking with a Sales Associate.

As part of Phase I, the awning structure over the popular cypress bar and tavern was replaced with a permanent roof structure featuring a clerestory element that allows the space below to be illuminated with natural daylight. The roof and clerestory element blend with the building’s architectural style, colors and finishes in a way that makes the new addition feel like part of the original building. At the same time, the covered outdoor tavern space was expanded by nearly 1,400 square feet. New, more efficient wind/rain/bug/sun screens between the columns on the newly expanded perimeter contribute to a more enjoyable outdoor dining experience. The space is furnished in various seating arrangements that provide numerous options for different size parties. The timber joist with tongue and groove ceiling structure with ceiling fans, radiant heaters, and recessed can lights will add to the all-weather flexibility of the outdoor dining venue.

A new 1,850 square-foot outdoor covered bar terrace was created and provides unfettered views of one of the community’s two Tom Fazio-designed golf courses. The bar features a permanent roof, 70 seats, 23 bar stools, and over-bar mounted televisions. The outdoor covered bar offers direct access to a new 680 square-foot outdoor covered grille terrace and to the expanded outdoor tavern. New enlarged folding glass doors open to an indoor bar lounge.

The new outdoor covered bar terrace is situated adjacent to a new west-facing dedicated fire pit terrace that capitalizes on golf course views during the day and colorful sunset views that can be enjoyed in the late afternoon and early evening. With its proximity to the new outdoor covered bar terrace and soft seating for more than 60 people, the fire pit terrace has already become a popular gathering space before and after dinner. Two water features flank a large, centrally located fire pit. The fire pit’s floor level has been gently lowered from the previous outdoor terrace level to create a more intimate and jovial space.

Whether dining indoors or outdoors, Mediterra’s clubhouse offers an outstanding dining experience. Under the direction of Carmen Mauceri, a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America and winner of the American Culinary Federation Award of Excellence and Chef de Cuisine for a Presidential Dinner, the clubhouse’s dining options offer a varied menu with unique concepts that include a “doctor’s orders” menu with a selection of healthy items.

Mediterra’s Sports Club is situated adjacent to the clubhouse at the community’s piazza. A fitness center is outfitted with state-of-the-art equipment and offers fitness classes ranging from aerobics to Zumba, wellness programs, personal trainers, aesthetic services, three spa rooms, and a swimming pool with a sunning deck and smoothie bar. The Club’s tennis program is acknowledged as one of the top programs in the country. Tennis facilities include a dedicated tennis pro shop and eight Har-Tru tennis courts, including a spectator court. Three pickleball courts with a highly forgiving, Laykold masters’ gel surface have oversized perimeter areas that allow each court to stand alone without interfering with adjacent courts. More than 700 members enjoy competing on the Club’s bocce ball courts. Historically themed parks and water features that are unique to Mediterra are connected by nearly eight miles of walking and biking trails.

Consistently rated as one of Naples’ most prestigious golf communities, Mediterra showcases two distinctly different golf courses designed by Tom Fazio. Set against the splendor of Mediterra’s spectacular tableau, the courses weave their way along sparkling lakes, wetlands, and nature preserves. As beautiful as they are playable, each of the courses presents distinctive design characteristics and unique challenges for golfers of every skill level. Members also enjoy the benefits of the Golf Learning Center that offers the latest in swing analysis technology and personalized instruction. Membership opportunities at Mediterra are limited to just 225 members per 18 holes, allowing for abundant tee times.

Mediterra’s 10,000 square-foot Mediterra Beach Club on nearby Little Hickory Island is the community’s Holy Grail. No other luxury golf course community in Southwest Florida can match the beach experience available to Mediterra residents. The Beach Club conveys “the magic of the beach” with colors reminiscent of the sand and water and South Beach casual elegance. The bar area has a sporty feeling with large screen televisions and a wine bar overseen by Mediterra’s two sommeliers. An extensive wine list includes 20 wines for $20 per bottle. Carmen Mauceri oversees the Beach Club’s culinary team of executive chef Chris Fragola and sous chef Shane Dorey, both of whom are certified chefs de cuisine. The chefs vary the menu on a regular basis while retaining the diners’ favorites. The Beach Club also offers an elevated swimming pool with an expansive sundeck and cabana service for beach chairs and umbrellas.
