[Condos, villa homes, single-family estates, and one-of-a-kind custom homes](https://mediterranaples.com/our-homes/plans/) are all viable options in communities in Naples, FL. If you’re looking for a lot of square footage, a condo may not be the type of home you need, but if a smaller space is just what you need then a condo or villa home is ideal.  You’ll also want to consider privacy since condos typically allow you to live within walking distance of urban amenities, but you’ll get to know your neighbors very well since your units will share a space.  Outdoor living is also a major thing to consider since Florida is well-known for its glorious year-round weather with a lack of snow for your winter ease.  Condos may not offer the best in terms of outdoor living, but a house or villa will provide the private outdoor space needed to customize your natural space. ## Location of Your Home ## ![Design-Your-Lifestyle-at-Mediterra-0320141-1.jpg](https://blog.mediterranaples.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/Design-Your-Lifestyle-at-Mediterra-0320141-1.jpg?width=638&height=422&name=Design-Your-Lifestyle-at-Mediterra-0320141-1.jpg) New home communities in Naples, FL are typically located close to everything the area has to offer, including white sandy beaches, the relaxing Gulf of Mexico, dining and shopping, and arts and entertainment, but you’ll want to delve into each one to determine just how far you’ll have to go to enjoy these attractions.  If you travel often, a luxury home community that is located somewhat near an airport may be at the top of your list, while someone that is an avid outdoor enthusiast may want to be located in an area that provides access to trails, pathways, and parks. ## Amenities You Can Enjoy Since you’ve determined the type of home in which you’d like to live, you can now only focus on the communities in Naples that feature that specific type of home to narrow down your list of available communities.  The next thing you’ll want to consider is the [luxury amenities](https://mediterranaples.com/amenities-lifestyle/amenities/) offered in the new home communities.  If you’re retiring to Florida, these amenities will allow you to meet new people, enjoy existing hobbies, and discover new and exciting ways to revel in your luxury living lifestyle.  Since Naples is the self-proclaimed golf capital of the world, golfers will love spending time on the greens, while other luxury amenities such as fitness centers, a full calendar of events, spas, tennis, and many other amenities will help you decide which luxury home community is right for you. If you’re searching for the perfect [new home community in Naples, FL](https://www.mediterranaples.com/about-mediterra), consider Mediterra.  Our 11-time award-winning community of the year is located in North Naples with no more than 950 condos, villas, and single-family homes within its 1,697 acres.  Residents enjoy miles of walking and bicycling paths that connect neighborhoods and parks, while members enjoy 36 holes of Tom Fazio-designed golf, a private Beach Club on the Gulf of Mexico, a Sports Club with a full calendar of fitness activities, tennis, and fine and casual dining at our elegant Clubhouse.  The Clubhouse employs a full professional staff that maintains a full calendar of unique activities for everyone to enjoy and [The Club at Mediterra was recently expanded and renovated](https://blog.mediterranaples.com/the-club-at-mediterra-to-undergo-an-expansion-and-renovation-amid-growing-membership) to accommodate growing membership.
